Sexual misconduct is the NASW Risk Retention Group's (NASWRRG) most severe claim, and it occurs far too often. It should never occur directly between the practitioner and the client, nor the client’s family members. Unfortunately, sexual misconduct situations and claims also occur when the practitioner unintentionally allows clients to be indirectly involved with third parties such as a common venue.
