Welcome to the South Wales British Society of Paediatric Dentistry Study Day 2025. We would like to begin by offering our apologies for the postponement of the original March event. While the delay was unfortunate, we are thrilled to be able to finally come together this November and are confident the wait will only make the day more enjoyable.
We are delighted to welcome Shannu Bhatia, our immediate past President of the BSPD, who will be delivering her presidential address 'Shaping the future of paediatric dentistry a journey of growth, support and inspiration'.
Following this we will have a range of fantastic speakers who will discuss clinical topics giving insight into outcomes of patients referred to the Paediatric Dental Department alongside communication and behavioural management talks reviewing our support of patients with ADHD in dental settings and understanding of child development, emotional regulation and parental relationships.
We will also be welcoming speakers from Ty Hafan Children's Hospice, who will be discussing the challenges of providing dental and oral care to children and young adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.
The day will finalise with an annual general meeting, at which your attendance is welcomed. If you have any items you would like to raise, please inform us in advance by contacting southwalesbspd@gmail.com.
A complementary two course lunch, morning and afternoon refreshments will be provided at the hotel.
We hope you all enjoy the day.
