Are you a small business or a start-up in the market for an easy-to-use, affordable and reliable electronic quality management system?

Designed by ISO experts, Activ has been developed to help manage common compliance challenges, maintain a Quality Management System and reduce ISO-related risks.

Activ's eQMS suite of modules will help you streamline processes, include tracking correctivity and preventive actions, supplier evaluation, document management and control - and much more.

Hear James Bradbury talk us through this useful tool in this SPARK Software Showcase, aiming to highlight West Midlands based companies that could support SMEs and start ups especially.

James joined Advena in 2021 as a QMS consultant, after working for a number of medical device manufacturers in his 25+ year career. These ranged from manufacturers of Class III implantable orthopaedic devices such as hip implants, and Class IIa devices such as autologous blood transfusion devices, through to self-certified Class I orthotic devices and artificial limbs. His previous roles include Product Quality Engineer, Supplier Quality Manager, through to heading up the QARA functions as Head of Quality and Regulatory.

During his career, James also completed 4 years working for a Notified Body, where he progressed from Lead Auditor under MDD and ISO 13485, to Global NB Operations Manager. Now he is responsible for the compliance of Advena's own QMS, as well as managing their external training programme.

Advena, based in Warwickshire, provides regulatory consultancy services to a multitude of global manufacturers of medical devices and cosmetics. They are one of the UK's longest standing and most experienced consultancies.

This SPARK The Midlands Software Showcase is being delivered as part of Aston University's active involvement in the delivery of the West Midlands Health Tech Innovation Accelerator (WMHTIA). The WMHTIA is funded by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, in partnership with Innovate UK and the West Midlands Combined Authority.
