Due to the Corona Virus Pandemic, Federal, State and Local Officials have limited public gathers at most training facilities. This Virtual Training Class is in full compliance with the Federal Corona Virus Response Team, CDC and State Directives.
The class will be held on April 13-14, 2020 8 am - 4:30 pm. This is an interactive, hands-on training class which you can access via the Internet.

This class is taught by 2 instructors who covered breaking news in San Bernardino, Dallas, Ferguson and Baltimore, as well as many of the nation’s other major news events.
Training is geared for: Public Information Officers, Command Staff, Trainers, Community Relations Personnel and anyone else who deals with the News Media. This fast-paced, hands-on, interactive training is designed to help Public Safety Professionals communicate effectively with the Media and Public, both routinely and during times of crisis. In addition to instruction, an assortment of video clips demonstrating both good and bad media relations incidents are projected on-screen. The class is conducted by Emmy Award Winning veteran broadcast news reporter and author Russell Ruffin who has worked with both Fox News and NBC, covering such stories as the Fall of the Soviet Union as well as crisis news events across America.
Class Participation: LIVE On-Camera
Breaking News Simulations will place participants before a LIVE camera for interviews and news conferences. The instructors and the rest of the class will act as reporters by asking tough questions. Participants are given a helpful critique upon conclusion of their on-camera performance.
