CIELO’s Stipend Registration for OC In-Home Licensed Child Care Program Participants
This document serves as a mutual agreement for participation and the stipends agreed to be provided to participants living in Orange County. In order to be eligible for these stipends, participants must live and open a Community Care License (CCL) family child care program in Orange County.
Stipends are offered for one participant per household/license.
Completion of the outlined expectations are required in order to receive the total amount of each stipend interval.
Stipend 1 $500
- Attend all eight (8) sessions of cohort (Special consideration may be given under certain circumstances and must be approved by CIELO and First 5 OC)
- Participate in any required pre and post session surveys
- Meet one (1) time with assigned Orange County Association for the Education of Young Children (OCAEYC) Peer Guide to discuss specific child care model as outlined in business plan by Week 7
- Meet one (1) time with assigned Orange County Women’s Business Center (OCWBC) and/or Small Business Development Center (SBDC) business consultant by Week 5
- Submit completed CIELO’s Participant Agreement, Tax Form W-9 and Business Plan Draft to Jescalante@cielocommunity.org.
Stipend 2 $2000
- Complete and submit a Department of Social Services /Community Care Licensing Division (DSS/CCL) application with program spaces dedicated to children under age of 5 in Orange County
- Provide finalized Business Plan including program information
- Meet one (1) time with your assigned Orange County Association for the Education of Young Children (OCAEYC) Peer Guide to review business plan and program information including policies and procedures as well as a plan for recruitment
- Meet one (1) time with your assigned Orange County Women’s Business Center (OC WBC) and/or Small Business Development Center (SBDC) business consultant
Stipend 3 $2500
- Obtain a Department of Social Services /Community Care Licensing Division (DSS/CCL) license with program spaces dedicated to children under age of 5 in Orange County
- Sign up for Orange County Department of Education (OCDE) QualityStart OC Program
- Meet one (1) time with your assigned Orange County Association for the Education of Young Children (OCAEYC) Peer Guide to review business plan and program information including policies and procedures as well as a plan for recruitment
- Meet one (1) time with your assigned Orange County Women’s Business Center (OC WBC) and/or Small Business Development Center (SBDC) business consultant
- Update contact information to Children’s Home Society (CHS)
