Spring Fechten will be a 1 day only HEMA event in Oklahoma City
We will have:
- 20 person Harness Fechten Tournament Event
- 40 person Longsword Tournament Event
- Women's Longsword Tournament Event
- Classes and Judge Certification Courses
This will be the second of three events this year. Gesellen Fechten will be end of October. Oct 20, 21, 22nd!
The classes will be announced as we finalize. The rules used will be the same used at Gesellen Fecthen for this event.
This event uses a "Pools Based System". This means you will run 2 rounds of pools (1 for harness) to determine moving on to the Eliminations. Eliminations are also done in a "Pool" format. Performance in Eliminations will determine who moves on to the Finals... a 5 person Pool to determine the "BEST" person in the event based on survivability. Overall a LOT of fencing matches!
The Women's Longsword Event will be part of the Open Event. After the Pools are finished at the Open Longsword Event, we will move to Elim Pools as stated above. The "Women's" will use the data from the Open Lswd Pools performance. If you choose not to compete in the Open, that is okay! You will be seeded last in the Elimination Pool however. If you choose to compete in both the Open and Women's that is also permitted. (MORE FENCING!)
