Emergent bilinguals, who are often referred to as English Language Learners (ELLs) or English Learners (ELs), are students who are continuing to develop their home language while also learning an additional language. In this session, Miriam from Austin PBS will share the facts on the power of bilingualism for young children! Participants will learn how to build a personal toolkit of resources and strategies to nurture home languages in your OST program, with a focus on supporting Spanish language.
