PaddleLife, along with the support of its sponsors, presents, The PaddleLife World Tour 2018!
An extensive tour of the world dedicated to spreading the sport and lifestyle of surfski paddling to as many people as possible. We have some awesome events and workshops lined up. We can't wait to visit Pittsfield!
All workshops are conducted by the international surfski and kayak champion, Sean Rice. Sean is an extremely experienced surfski and kayak coach and conducts his workshops in a friendly and relaxed manner. Sean has competed for many years at the highest level of paddling (including World Championship titles) across Marathon, Sprint, and Surfski. He will pass on every bit of knowledge that he has gained through all of his experience. Each paddler will come away with a whole new field of knowledge and will experience an unforgettable time with one of the best in the sport.
Wednesday afternoons workshop is aimed at those paddlers who are wanting to take their paddling to the next level! You might have a certain goal in mind or simply want to get some refined tips of what it will take you to improve. This is the best chance of getting advice from one of the best in the business. The workshop will consist of some land-based theory and plenty of water-based drills for practice. If you are an intermediate or advanced level paddler, then this is an excellent opportunity for you!
In addition to this workshop, each registered paddler is invited to an additional FREE seminar by local paddling hero Joe Shaw, and Mike Dostal, and/or Kurt Kuehnel on Monday 16 July 2018 at 5pm at the same location They will cover some of the more basic fundamental skills and techniques so that Sean can jump straight into the other more complex topics that we have you all interested in. This will maximize the time we get to spend together! Let us call this a good old 2 for 1 deal! Isn't that just great?
To help with planning for this, we ask that all paddlers who would like to join into the FREE additional seminar register before the 13th July as the next week offers possible dates for it to be run.
PaddleLife prides itself on offering the highest-quality learning experience. For this reason, we keep the group numbers very limited to allow for lots of 1-on-1 time between Sean and each paddler. All paddlers will walk away from the lesson with a comprehensive understanding of the sport and with advice or improvement techniques specific to them.
We encourage you to attend no matter your craft and experience!
