Symphony At Sunrise
Potter Point, Sunday 29th November 2020
This shoot is being organised specifically as an offer to Focus Plus Members
This shoot is limited to the Shoot Organisers (Mike and Stephane) and 12 Photographers.
First 12 photographers to book, secure the spots, and a waiting list will follow.
Mike Hobbert (Emerald Imaging) and Stephane Thomas (Stephane Thomas Photography) have organised to have a Cello Player (Cellist), play and pose for us on the clifftops at Potter Point, in Sydney’s South, one of Sydney’s most stunning clifftop and seascape locations.
Vicki Parkin is an accomplished Cellist, with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
Vicki will pose seated, playing the cello, perched high on the clifftops, above the waves, crashing below onto the cliff faces and rocks at Potter Point. She will be wearing a red dress, which will stand out superbly in your images.
We will shoot from a short distance away, to ensure we all get some stunning images on the day.
Shoot using your zoom lenses, or shoot wide for an all inclusive comp. If we get a good sunrise, this shoot will have a stunning impact
We will arrive 40 minutes before sunrise, allowing us plenty of time to find our compositions, and for Vicki to set up.
Vicki will start to pose around 15 minutes before sunrise, and up to 30 mins after sunrise.
From Mike…
The sun will be rising around 90 degrees to the cliff face, which will give us some stunning light on both the cliffs and Vicki. This will be a natural light shoot, but participants are welcome to use on camera flash on the day if you want to.
This is an ideal opportunity for you to shoot an arty style image, and I can’t wait to see what people come up with from this shoot.
Slow shutter speeds, fast shutter speeds….anything goes on the day to get a fantastic image or images.
The cost to attend will be $20.00pp, to be paid when registering.
ALL funds will go to Vicki, for her time on the day. Mike and Stephane are making no profit from this shoot.
All Covid-19 rules will apply….1.5m apart when shooting….there is ample room here for all to shoot safely and get a fantastic composition.

Disclaimer:
Potter Point and the park are public areas, it is assumed people not associated with our group may jump in and take photos.
As it is a public space, I won’t legally be able to stop this, but I will speak with and advise people it is a private paid shoot on the morning.
As this is an outdoor shoot, the weather may affect to shoot on the day.
VERY IMPORTANT:
Vicki’s Cello is 200+ years old. If on the day, there is even the slightest chance of even slight rain or mist, the cello shoot will be cancelled, and we can shoot a regular landscape. This instrument CANNOT get wet under any circumstances. Organising the shoot this far out from the date, we just need to hope Mother Nature plays ball on the day.
In the event of bad weather being forecast in advance, all shoot attendees will be notified of cancellation on Saturday 28th November, via email.
There is NO REFUND in the event you cannot make the shoot.
All enquiries are to be sent using the "Contact Organiser" link at the bottom of the page.
