You are cordially invited to the 8th Annual One Voice Africa Reception will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, as part of the 53nd Annual Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Annual Legislative Conference. The reception is hosted by the One Voice Africa Network.
This year’s event will be held at The Continent DC located at 1110 Vermont Ave NW, Washington, DC 20005 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 PM followed by an Afrobeat party from 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Additional guests will be U.S. Congressman Gabe Amo (D-Rhode Island), U.S. Congressman Dr. Oye Owolewa of Washington D.C., Georgia State Representative Segun Adeyina, Pennsylvania State Representative Carol Kazeem, Prince George County (Maryland) Councilwoman Wala Blegay, Upper Arlington, Ohio Mayor Ukeme Awakessien Jeter and Leanna Hicks Library Board of Inkster (Michigan) President and One Voice Africa Reception Chair, Akindele Akinyemi.
The One Voice Africa Reception was started in 2016 to empower and engage African voices in the political space in the United States.
