The End Festival - Rare Trades area, Tambaroora St, Hill End, NSW, 2850, Australia.
Get your spoon on with this three hour spoon carving workshop at the End Festival set in historic Hill End NSW.
You will learn how to make a spoon straight from the tree using just a small axe and a sharp knife.
It's a great way to start your spoon journey as we'll be making small spoons and focussing mainly on cool knife work.
Beginners are most welcome, and we provide everything you need (tools and wood). All you need to bring is you, some closed top shoes and a willingness to whittle :)
If you thing that whittling fever will set in (it tends to do that!), I will also be running a three hour spatula making workshop on the Saturday morning, and a Hand Carved Kitchen workshop on the Sunday where your whittling imaginations can run wild!
It's beautiful happy slowness!

Jeff Donne is one of Australia's best known spoon carvers with many years of carving and teaching under his belt. Jeff teaches the traditional method of spoon carving where a small axe and a sharp knife are used to slice away layers of wood from a freshly cut log. It's pure analogue bliss!
