The Global Refugee Crisis and Social Work with Refugees

This Community Conversation is being presented free for social workers, their clients, and the general public.  It is not CEU eligible.

According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), at least 82.4 million people around the world have been forced to flee their homes, and among them are nearly 26.4 million refugees, around half of who are under the age of 18.

On World Refugee Day, we will be joined by Lucy Rabbaa from HIAS Pennsylvania, a local resettlement agency, which resettles refugees from all over the world. Lucy will discuss HIAS’s resettlement programs, best practices, and challenges that social workers may face while working with refugees.

Virtual meeting will be sent to you in your confirmation email. If you don't receive your confirmation email, please check your spam folder.
