ABOUT EVENT
We're so excited to visit the Bok Kai Museum & Temple for a guided tour! There is a suggested donation of $5 per adult.
Both the Museum and Temple are stroller-friendly, but those with bulkier strollers may have some issues navigating the Temple.
ABOUT THE BOK KAI MUSEUM & TEMPLE
The Chinese came to Marysville during the Gold Rush, and while it isn't the original building, the Bok Kai Museum & Temple is one of the oldest continuously operating temples in North America. It's also the only Taoist Temple in the United States with Bok Eye, the water god, as its central deity and the only known temple honoring the Bok Kai in the United States.
TIMELINE
10:15 am - We will meet at the Bok Kai Museum & Temple. We'll meet Jon Lim, the President of the Marysville Chinese Community.
10:30 am - Tour begins
After the tour, those that wish to will walk to Bridge Coffee Company to purchase drinks and treats. If the weather is nice, we'll socialize on the patio.
As a group, we'll walk back to the Bok Kai Museum & Temple to say our goodbyes.
