We've had our eye on you and have concluded you are quite exceptional! Instead of spending summers and other free time for yourself, you have invested that time for the Lord, working at vacation Bible schools, camps, youth groups, Sunday schools, Seed Sowers and other kinds of outreach. We have watched you put a great deal of energy into others and are exercised to invest something back into you!
You have been invited to participate in a special retreat at the end of summer. Unlike all the other activities you have been involved in throughout the year, you are the focus of this retreat and are not the "staff". There will be no work for you to do... you are invited to come, relax, be spiritually fed, and enjoy yourself.
This retreat is designed with this purpose in mind - to surround you with likeminded young people, to encourage you in your exercise, to build you up for the work you do, to give you an opportunity to rest, relax and enjoy yourself, and to minister to you in a way that is tailored to your age and place in life. The theme this year will be Philippians 1:27 - Striving together for the gospel.
This event will be held at a very special mountain retreat located in central Washington. The retreat center is located on a river with oppotunities for swimming and fishing, as well as hiking and other activities nearby. Your time at the retreat will include spiritual training, music, and a healthy dose of organized fun, as well as free time.
This retreat is not secret, but space is limited and attendance is by-invitation only - we anticipate around 45 young people will attend. How we selected you for this invitation is pretty simple:
1. You are involved in gospel outreach
2. You are out of high school
3. You are not married
In the rare circumstance where you have been invited to participate and I don't know you personally, it is because someone else saw these qualities in you and nominated you to attend. And we hope you will attend! The cost of this retreat is being covered for you, so all you need to do is register and show up.
Please complete this registration no later than June 31. Registration is required for you to attend as it helps us to plan the best retreat possible.
