The Round Table Tastings!
These small group tastings will follow a round table discussion format, and be centered around low production and collectible wines. The goal of these tastings will be to examine and evaluate wines from equal but different perspectives, while drawing on knowledge from winemakers & industry experts. Attendees can expect an evening of lighthearted conversation and discussion, centered around a fantastic selection of thought provoking wines. A cross section of Bordeaux spanning 3 decades

Tasting introduction:
With our 3rd and final Round Table Tasting of the year, we will examine the famous French region of Bordeaux and its diverse AOCs. Featuring 6 unique producers, the tasting will focus on 3 key elements of each wine in an attempt to identify and evaluate each. These criteria are:

1. Vintage - How old is the wine? Each wine we taste will be from a different vintage.
2. Location - What part of Bordeaux is the wine from? Bordeaux is home to many unique micro-climates or "terroir". They are identified as sub-regions called Appellations d'origine contrôlée or AOCs for short. Each wine we taste will be from a different AOC.
3. Varietal - What is the blend of grapes in the makeup of each wine? Each wine we taste will be a unique blend of grapes.

We will taste the following Wines:  Some very impressive estates!

1998 Clos L'Eglise - Pomerol
2003 Chateau Calon Segur - St. Estephe
2005 Chateau Leoville Poyferre - St. Julien
2008 Chateau Pavie Decesse - St. Emillion
2012 Chateau Rauzan Seglan - Margaux
2014 Pauillac de Latour - Pauilliac
