Math is not a spectator sport. To find success, students must put their skills into action and feel comfortable to make mistakes and ask questions. The use of vertical non-permanent surfaces in the classroom, meaning erasable whiteboards where students stand and work, increase student engagement with mathematical content.
In this class, we will explore simple ways and methods to incorporate standing work with your math content in your classroom. These easy to implement techniques work especially well with long math blocks like those at the secondary level.
