TRICOM Advanced Fundamentals Course

The Advanced Fundamentals Instructor course includes in-depth training in each sub-topic/ module addressed in the Fundamentals course. We also address some modules not included in the general Fundamentals course. This includes: Natural Impact Weapons Gross Motor Control Dynamics Advanced Tactical Baton Duty Knife as a Backup Weapon Edged Weapon Countermeasures. Tactical Clinch (Clinch fighting in a weapons based environment.) Ground S.E.R.E. (Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape.) Close Quarters Handgun Combatives. 

Participants in this course must be current LE/Mil or credentialed security professionals.

The TRICOM modules (TRI-ANGLE COMBATIVES) are the result of 35 years of martial arts experience coupled with 18 years of experience teaching police and military Defensive Tactics and Combatives programs. Based on tactics of Pekiti-Tirsia Kali and supplemented with various striking and grappling disciplines, the TRICOM modules have been taught to Special Operations and Instructors from police and military units across the US and allied countries.

The instructor for this course, Jared Wihongi, world-renown Close Quarters Combat Instructor. He is a student of multiple martial arts and combatives systems but specializes in the baton and blade weapon-based combat arts of the Philippines. He has 20 years of experience in law enforcement (both full-time and Reserve), 17 of which have been working on SWAT Teams and as a Use-of-Force Instructor.
