The Washington Student Engagement Networks (WA-SEN) 2022 Olympia Student Engagement Days are here!

As you knowWA-SEN Student Engagement Day held in Olympia will occur virtually again this year.

While the Capitol Campus is closed again this session, virtual legislative visits are possible and an exciting step to ensure the student voice is heard and reflected in policy decisions that impact you.

Because everything is now virtual, and based on student input, we’ve decided to break the legislative appointments into two days during the short 60-day legislative session:

Monday, January 31 and Tuesday, February 1st

These virtual legislative visits are designed for college students at every level of comfort with advocacy work.

If you are new to legislative engagement, you are a perfect WA-SEN advocate! If you are a seasoned legislative expert, you are a perfect WA-SEN advocate who can participate in meetings and support fellow students! Legislative appointments will occur as a group in 15-minute blocks over the course of two days.

During the registration process you will have an opportunity to share the windows of time you're available both days and let us do the rest! Regional trainings, tips, tools, and inspiration (yes, there are student care packages for participants) provided. After registering, your region's student coordinator will reach out with specifics.

Register today and enjoy a community of current and aspiring college students from across the state exercising their civic right that impacts equity in education for all Washingtonians!

* Sign up by January 25th to ensure delivery of care package.
