Civil Engineering Mini Prep Review Course
The Pittsburgh Chapter of the PSPE is offering a Civil Engineering Mini Prep Review Course which covers six subjects for people who intend to take the PSPE Civil Professional Engineer Examination Review Course.
The Civil Engineering Mini Prep Review Course is primarily for people who have already passed the FE exam but feel a need to brush up on some of the subjects that are of importance in the PSPE Civil PE Examination Review Course or plan on taking the Mechanical PE Exam. A minimum enrollment of five students is required.
This mini course is being offered because we have found that many students have not used these basic skills for some period of time and need a brief review to allow them to take full advantage of the information presented in the PSPE Civil PE Examination Review Course. Our goal is to give all students the best opportunity to be successful on the PE Examination. These classes will review selected topics in mathematics, statics, strength of materials, physics, electrochemistry, and engineering ethics. Each of the three classes will be three hours long and will be held at the office of LLI Engineering, 1501 Preble Ave, Suite 300, Pittsburgh, PA 15233.

This mini review course is intended as preparation for the PSPE Civil PE Examination Review Course; however, it may also be applicable to those planning to take a professional engineering exam in some other discipline, especially the Mechanical Engineering PE Exam. Although those students who plan to enroll in the PSPE FE Review Course will be receiving instruction in most of the above-mentioned subjects, they are also welcome to take this mini review course if they sense a weakness in any of these subject areas.
