Event Info:
MiceChat Anniversary is on the way. In this, our 12th year, we'd like to kick things off right with an amazing celebration. This breakfast at the ESPN Zone on the morning of January 28th will feature breakfast, a panel discussion led by beloved Disney author, David Koenig, and a wonderful panel of Disney notables.
"Walt's Disneyland"
Join "Mouse Tales" author David Koenig and special guests from the early days of Disneyland sharing never-before-told stories of what it was like to work alongside Walt Disney inside a sparkling new--and very different--Magic Kingdom.
Moderator David Koenig is MiceChat's newest columnist and author of six books, including the best-selling "Mouse Tales: A Behind-the-Ears Look at Disneyland."
Featured will be Bob Penfield, the last of the 'Club 55ers" to retire from Disneyland and the author of the new book "The Last Original Disneylander." Bob started on the Carousel on Opening Day in 1955 and worked his way up through the ranks of management in Operations and Facilities before retiring in 1997.
The gentlemen will be joined by Becky Morris, longtime Chief PBX Operator for the park, who started on the Disneyland switchboard in 1960, where she would be in communication with all park employees - including Walt himself!
As a special gift for event attendees only, those who pre-select their books in advance will receive 20% off the cover price of all books purchased, including Bob Penfield's new memoirs "The Last Original Disneylander," and David Koenig's latest "The People v. Disneyland."
This will be the first event Bob will be appearing at since the release of his book.
Additional books will be available for purchase and signing at the event at regular price. Books are listed on the event order page at full price, but you'll be able to buy them at 20% off IF you select the books you'd like to buy in advance. They'll be full price on the day of the event if you don't pre-select them (this helps us to know how many books to bring and assures that you'll get all the books you want). To reserve a book, please select an event ticket above. The book selection check boxes will appear on the next page.
