This free virtual interactive event is for college students at every level of comfort with advocacy work. If you think you're a newbie, you are a perfect future WA-SEN member! If you think you are a legislative expert, you're a perfect future WA-SEN member!
Founded and organized in 2017, we use our stories and amplify the student voice to educate legislators about the importance of supporting higher education for all Washingtonians. We focus on closing the racial, gender, and income opportunity gap. We will provide practical, interactive training that you can use in Olympia (another free event) during the 2025 legislative session.
Lunch is provided! All participants who register by October 13th will receive a virtual gift card to order lunch *(we'll ask for a shipping address when you register to determine if DoorDash functions in your area or if we need to use a different method).
This event will be a little different from previous years. We're keeping the programming shorter and focusing on applying civic engagement techniques we teach through our student-led legislative town hall. We are moving our training portion of the event to different workshops we will host throughout Fall and Winter.
