Did you know that your story can be a catalyst for better financial aid policies in Washington's higher education system?
The Washington Student Engagement Networks (WA-SEN) 2021 Olympia Days Summit is here! And while the Capitol Campus is closed this session, virtual training and legislative visits is on the menu for a little while longer.
We've come together every legislative session since 2017 to use our stories to educate legislators about the importance of supporting higher education for all Washingtonians. We focus on closing the racial, gender, and income opportunity gap. We will provide practical interactive training that you'll take to use during our virtual Olympia Day series.
This free virtual interactive training for college students is for every level of comfort with advocacy work. If you think you're a newbie, you are a perfect future WA-SEN member! If you think you are a legislative expert, you're a perfect future WA-SEN member!
This training will be a refresher for those who attended the Student Summit in October--but we'll dig deeper into applying what you learned, and offer new training toward practical application meeting with legislators!
Hear from inspiring speakers and fellow students from across 50 campuses who are passionate about access to education, civic engagement through the legislative process, and advocating for equitable education--leading through the lens of race.
Scarves, socks, and masks, oh my! All participants will receive fabulous swag* (we'll ask for a shipping address when you register). They’ll be rich conversation, and lunch is provided!
*Register by January 27th for fabulous swag shipped to your location
