In this presentation, we will share various ways to build a school and community literacy connection. The presenters will discuss ways to honor and value family culture and engage families. Participants will learn ways to foster an inviting inclusive classroom. Examples of high quality diverse texts will be given. Finally, the presenters will share how to develop, fund, and run a successful global family literacy event in your school community.
