Women's Learn-to-Ride Workshop

Beginner and Basic Skills

Can't remember the last time you were on a bike? Or never learned to ride? Come to a free learn-to-ride clinic for women, taught by women. Boston Bikes’ experienced staff and volunteers will help each participant gain the skills and confidence to get on a bike and keep on rolling! Bikes provided upon request.

This class is appropriate for people who have never ridden a bike before, or can ride a little but need to work on basic skills (starting, stopping, turning). It is taught entirely in a parking lot.

Cancellation policy

Space is limited. If you know you can no longer attend, please cancel your reservation, or contact kim.foltz@boston.gov so that we are able to release your ticket to someone else.

Boston Bikes is part of Boston’s vision for a vibrant and healthy city that benefits all its citizens. It seeks to make Boston a world-class bicycling city by creating safe and inviting conditions for all residents and visitors. Boston Bikes focuses on improvements in all six universal bike planning areas: Engineering, Enforcement, Education, Encouragement, Equity, and Evaluation. Boston Bikes' Women's Program is a series of rides, clinics, and events to spread the joys and benefits of biking in Boston and encourage more women to take to the streets by bike. We provide support for women of all skill levels — from the first-time rider to the seasoned urban commuter.
