DYNAMICS DAYS 2017
Sheraton Silver Spring Hotel
Silver Spring, Maryland

January 4-6, 2017
http://ireap.umd.edu/DDays2017
Overview
Dynamics Days is an annual conference whose purpose is to gather a variety of researchers with overlapping interests in topics in nonlinear dynamics. It has become well-known in the field as a highly productive way for researchers with common interests but varied background to disseminate their own results and learn about recent developments in related areas. Though the regular attendees are primarily in the fields of applied mathematics, physics, and engineering, the interdisciplinary field of nonlinear dynamics has continued to grow in recent years.  Researchers in physics, math, chemistry, engineering, fluid mechanics, biology, physiology and economics have given invited talks at previous Dynamics Days conferences. Dynamics Days 2017 will feature a mix of invited talks, contributed talks (~15 minutes each), Ignite talks (5 minutes each, auto-advancing slides), and poster presentations.
Invited speakers
Our invited speakers are drawn from experimental, theoretical, and computational domains, and focus on a variety of applications related to nonlinear science. Confirmed invited speakers for Dynamics Days 2017 include Dani Bassett (Penn), Andrea Bertozzi (UCLA),  Zvonimir Dogic (Brandeis), Flavio Fenton (Georgia Tech), Chris Jarzynski (UMD), Juergen Kurths (Postdam), James Langer (UCSB), Yang-Yu Liu (Harvard), Mason Porter (UCLA), Derek Richardson (UMD), Eva-Maria Schoetz Collins (UCSD), Robin Selinger (Kent State), Woody Shew (Alabama), and Istvan Szunyogh (Texas A&M).
