The 2021 ACCE Annual Conference-Virtual will be conducted this July utilizing virtual technology. We have several ACCE business and accreditation decisions to make during this Annual Conference. We will utilize Zoom virtual meeting technology for us to gather to make the decisions. Please be sure you have the latest version of the ZOOM APP downloaded for the best experience.
ACCE Committee Meetings
The ACCE Committee meetings are being scheduled to avoid conflicts with other meetings in order to facilitate member participation. Each meeting will be set up with a specific Zoom User Code. Individual registration will be required for each of the meeting sessions you plan to attend. To assist you with the scheduling and registrations for the meetings, ACCE will post the schedule on the web site with registration done via Eventzilla. Because there are some minor costs associated with using the technologies, the registration fee will be $95.00 Please note there will be a late registration fee of $250. This nominal fee will allow you to attend all of the open session meetings. Attendance at meetings will be based on the records of the participants that we collect from Zoom.
Visiting Team Training
All of our Visiting Team Training sessions will be held. This includes the New Attendee Orientation, Initial Visiting Team Member Training, Advanced Visiting Team Member Training, and Visiting Team Chair Training. The Case Studies Workshop will also be available. Be sure to review the registration page for the days and times of each session. We ask that you register for each individual session you want to attend as each of them will have a specific Zoom meeting number.

ACCE's 2021 Annual Conference-Virtual Event a "must attend" program for Construction Management Degree Programs' faculty and Industry Professionals interested in recruiting and developing top level talent. This year the annual meeting will be virtual utilizing ZOOM and the ZOOM APP.

Training Session - Open to all attendees
This training prepares participants to serve as the Chair of an accreditation visiting team. Participants should have already completed Initial Training, Advanced Team Member Training, Visiting Team Case Studies, and have served on three visiting teams as a full member. The session covers ACCE accreditation standards in depth as well as administrative and logistical planning of an accreditation team visit.

For all individuals attending the ACCE Conference for the first time, this session is a "must-attend"! Presented by two of ACCE senior leaders, they will discuss the purpose of ACCE and our history, organizational structure, the accreditation process, and the other programs provided for our constituents.

This training prepares participants to serve on an accreditation visiting team as a member in training. The session covers basic information on ACCE’s purpose, applicable standards, and the activities that visiting team members perform as part of a visit.

This training prepares participants to serve on an accreditation visiting team as a full member. Participants should have already completed Initial Team Training. The session covers ACCE accreditation standards in depth with emphasis on how these are evaluated during an accreditation team visit.
The Accreditation Committee considers accreditation reports and other pertinent materials submitted in connection with the accreditation of an academic program. The academic program may be an Associate, Baccalaureate, or Master's degree in a construction-related program.
The Accreditation Committee provides recommendations to the Board on accreditation, renewal, or reinstatement of accreditation for academic programs which have been applied for and have been reviewed and achieved the standards and criteria for accreditation.

The Accreditation Committee also reviews and takes whatever appropriate action required to review and approve interim Progress Reports from the academic programs without Board approval.

This training prepares participants to serve on an accreditation visiting team as a full member. Participants should have already completed Initial Team Training. The session supplements Advanced Team Member Training by reviewing the application of ACCE accreditation standards by examining and discussing redacted case studies from actual visiting team reports. Members participate in small group breakout discussions of case studies.
This Committee is responsible for the development and implementation of the Professional Development Certification Program. Their duties include establishing the certification criteria, reviewing applications for certification, and then making recommendations to the Executive Committee for an award of certification.
The Certification Program provides third-party recognition of industry-related professional education, development, and designation programs offered by educational institutions, industry associations, and private companies.
The agenda for this Conference will include discussions on the new standards, the report of the investigation for developing a non-curriculum designation program, and the review of applications for certification.
The Finance Committee is responsible for reviewing and oversight the annual ACCE budget developed and executed by the President and provided input to the Board. The proposed annual budget for the next year is then presented to the Board for approval before the end of the current fiscal year.
On the agenda will be to review the recent fiscal year-end financial reports and the preparation and presentation of the annual budget.
The Awards and Scholarships Committee is responsible for developing and implementing the awards program to recognize exceptional service to ACCE. The Committee receives all awards nominations, evaluates them, and makes recommendations for recognition awards to the Executive Committee. Included are the Founders Award and the Mark Benjamin Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Awards and Scholarships Committee is also responsible for the management of ACCE's scholarship programs. This includes fund-raising, program promotion, review of applications, and selection of finalists. These are then presented to the Executive Committee for approval.
On the agenda for this Conference will be the new establishment of the ACCE tenure awards, the ACCE Hall of Fame program, and the review of Dupree Education Scholarship applications.
The Training Committee is responsible for structuring appropriate training of the accreditation process for Members-in-Training, Registered Visitors, Advanced Visiting Team Member Training, and Visiting Team Chairs. This Committee has at least two qualified Team Chairs as members.

The Guidance Committee provides advisory services for construction education programs, including those programs seeking accreditation by ACCE and those already accredited. This Committee is responsible for the preparation of guidelines and documents that are used for the accreditation process. The Committee also makes recommendations to the Executive Committee on such changes needed to improve materials.
This Committee is also responsible for identifying programs that are potential construction-related degree programs for ACCE accreditation. It assigns and manages mentors to new prospective, applicant, and candidate programs and existing accredited programs that have been given an ACCE mentor.
On the agenda for this Conference will be the summary of the Mentor Reports, implementation of the new Documents 102, 104, and 105, and a Guidance Workshop.

The Council of Chairs is the principal participant in the ACCE Self-Assessment process. The Council consists of at least five people. It is composed exclusively of experienced Visiting Team Chairs who collect information on each site visit to determine best practices and areas that need improvement. Such areas may include the accreditation process, the content and interpretation of ACCE documents, and the scope of training programs.
Membership includes at least one member from the Accreditation Committee, the Standards Committee, the Guidance Committee, and the Training Committee, chosen by their respective committee chairperson.
The Council of Chairs will discuss their findings and recommendations based on the feedback received from the Visiting Team Chairs and Program Leaders that participated in an accreditation review during the Spring 2021 semester.
The Associate Degree Caucus is the forum for which the program leaders and other faculty from Associate Degree Programs assemble to discuss best practices, common challenges, and network amongst peers. They also provide a slate of nominees for Board of Trustees members, which is one of the agenda items during this Conference.
The Baccalaureate Degree Caucus is the forum for which the program leaders and other faculty from Bachelor's Degree Programs assemble discuss best practices, common challenges, and network amongst peers. They also provide a slate of nominees for Board of Trustees members, which is one of the agenda items during this Conference.

The Standards Committee is responsible for the preparation of the criteria and standards for all programs seeking accreditation or reaccreditation in construction education by ACCE. This Committee evaluates and makes suggestions and recommendations to the Board from information received from other Committees.
It also reviews all criteria and standards and, where appropriate, recommends such changes needed to improve the quality of the construction education programs and announces the standards and criteria relevant to the education of the professional constructor.
On the agenda will be reports on the status of two task forces. One is investigating 100% online degree programs, and the other task force is investigating……
The Marketing and Communications Committee develops and maintains the marketing plan, strategies, and guidelines, and oversees consistent, effective communication aligned with the ACCE mission and the branding message.
On the agenda for this Conference will be reporting on social media results and action plans, and other items to be determined.
The Construction Workforce Education Committee is responsible for developing and implementing a process for accrediting single-purpose construction workforce Educational Institutions. This is for accreditation of construction workforce education programs conducted by trade unions, colleges and universities, industry associations, and private industry organizations. Accreditation of these programs requires Board approval.
On the agenda for this Conference will be discussions of the first Visiting Team assignment in the Fall of 2021 and other items to be determined.
The primary purpose of the Industry Caucus is to identify and nominate potential Practitioner Trustees. The Caucus is comprised of all practitioners from accredited program IAB's and other practitioners, whether the individual is active or retired.
The secondary purpose is to manage the annual ACCE Industry Advisory Board Event held during the Midyear Conference.
The Executive Committee is comprised of the officers, the Immediate Past Chair, the Chairs of all Board and Special committees, and other appointed members as the Board Chair may determine. This Committee is responsible for conducting routine business on behalf of the Board during the time between the Board's meetings and any other matters that the Board delegates to the Executive Committee during any regular or special meeting of the Board.
Discussion topics on the agenda will include progress reports from all of the Committee Chairs on their current and proposed initiatives, discussion of the Self-Assessment Surveys for each Committee, and the status of the documents undergoing revisions.
