Saturday, Nov 10, 2018 at 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM EST

Thomas County Public Library, 201 N. Madison St., Thomasville, GA, 31792, United States.

It's HOTC Family Volunteer Day! Families of all shapes and sizes (work, church, home, friends) are encouraged to volunteer together to create lasting memories and experiences through community service. You will write letters and make holiday cards for service men and women who are away from their families, friends and homes.  Learn more about Holidays for Heroes here: http://www.redcross.org/volunteer/volunteer-opportunities/holidays-for-heroes

At 10:00 am, walk over to Broad Street for the Veterans Parade to show your support for the men and women who served our country. After the parade, please walk back to the Library to finish your cards for Red Cross.

Recommended for all ages. Under 16 must be accompanied by an adult volunteer. This is a no-frills service opportunity. Please bring anything you will need to be comfortable (bottled water, hat, etc.), wear appropriate attire and closed-toe shoes. If you have an HOTC t-shirt (any year, any program) this would be a great time to wear it! HOTC t-shirts are available on a first-come, first-served basis for those who did not receive one on HOTC Day in October (while supplies last). Groups larger than 10 interested in volunteering should call the HOTC office at (229) 226-5200.

Cancellation policy

Our non-profit partners are counting on you to volunteer! If you will not be able to make your volunteer shift, please contact our office at (229) 226-5200 so we may make arrangements for another volunteer to attend in your place. Thank you.
