See yourself in Llano for ON ALL Day 2018 - Future Foundations at the Llano del Rio ruins where we contemplate the day to day lives of the 900 colonists making a utopian life in the open desert 104 years ago.
RSVP for a the popular and much requested return of Anahata Mousai for the sound baths in the silo and stay for our main street walking tour, visit our historic ephemera tent hosted by Bread & Hyacinth's author Paul Greestein and create and post your own commemorative utopian mail art facilitated by the Traveling Postal Club.
Each guest receives a map and flier to the day's events designed by graphic artist Bonnie Tanaka, outlining the historic markers we visit this year and the artists involved. The Llano del Rio colonists promoted their experiment through periodicals, pamphlets and postcards, many of which will be on display and reproductions will be available for acquisition. Each guest also has the opportunity to customize and mail a postcard message from Llano to the future with commemorative stamp.
Join us for these multi-disciplinary offerings in the Mojave where art meets public humanities! Our last event sold out so reserve your slot today.

FAQs
Does the event involve water?
No. But you should bring plenty to drink.
If I don't have a ticket - can I visit anyway?
No. The event takes place on private property in a small space, reservations and waivers are required in advance to preserve the location, enjoyment of participants and property owners.
I attended the ON ALL Day 2017 event - will this experience be different?
Yes! Building on her research at the Beinecke, Newman will share the state of affairs at the colony in 2018, as they abandoned the future of their desert utopian vision, reocating to New Llano in Louisiana. Paul Greenstein has a special new offering to share and the Traveling Postal Club has created a mail-art station to send your own postcard from utopia. We provide all the supplies including postage with a specially made Llano stamp!
May I arrive early or hang around after?
Certainly, but we ask you respect silence in the Silo area, to ensure other guests have the silence and space to enjoy their experience. We ask you arrive for the soundbath on time and depart promptly so the next guests can get settled. We recommend staying after the sound bath to enjoy the walking tours, historic exhibit and create your own mail art to be sent from the Llano Post Office. Additionally, please explore our online exhibit beforehand and make time for a self-guided tour of the surrounding ruins by car at http://bit.ly/4AllonLlano. If you'd like recommendations on where to go or stay before or after - just ask! There's more unique history nearby.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Guests must be 18+ or accompanied by an adult if 12+ - as everyone is required to sign a waiver to participate.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Please follow the directions included in your confirmation email.
What can I bring into the event?
Please bring water and a warm layer as the desert can be surprisingly cool and windy. Just as the Silo amplifies the sound, a breeze can whip around the space. Perhaps wear socks - you will be asked to remove your shoes inside.
I have some mobility issues or am disabled - can I participate?
Yes. We will find a way. Please contact us via email below to make a plan.
How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Please send an email to kaz@positionalprojects.org.
What's the refund policy?
Refunds are not available though we appreciate notification if you are unable to attend at kaz@positionalprojects.org
We look forward to seeing you in Llano!
